Role: Sr. Big Data Engineer from the java background

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 6+ months

Positions: 3

JD: In this role resource be enabling business intelligence, analytics, and data science by building data pipeline infrastructure and services.  

Technologies include:

·  Kafka, Hadoop (CDH), Avro, Spark, Airflow, NIFI

·  Scala, Play, Akka

·  AWS, Docker, Mesos

·  MongoDB, Postgres

Required:

·  Experience in working on production Hadoop infrastructure

·  Experience in designing and developing ETL data pipelines on Hadoop

·  Command of Scala & Java 

·   Strong computer science fundamentals

·  Analytical strategic thinking with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

·  Self-starter and result-oriented attitude with a strong sense of ownership

·  BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field

Plus:

·  Experience with distributed systems and application design in a SOA environment

·  Knowledge of high-scale performance and optimization tools and techniques

·  Knowledge of SQL

·  Experience with AWS infrastructure
